This beautiful old church structure was built after the Civil War to serve the African American community. Many of its original members had been slaves prior to the war. A Florida Heritage Landmark, it faces Jackson Street where part of the Battle of Marianna was fought in 1864. The historic church is a stop on Florida’s Black History Trail and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is an architectural landmark.
